Glamping Pods Near Melbourne

Pod Glamping Near MelbourneToday we are going to feature a type of glamping that is still quite rare in Australia but is a huge trend in Europe. Pods take glamping to a new level of comfort and in some cases you are not far off being in a hotel room. Tent glamping is the norm in Australia because of the relatively mild to down right hot weather we get in this marvellous country. Europe on the other hand can have some extremely cold times of the year but that won’t stop those Europeans from enjoying their natural surrounds. While a tent may suffice for the Summer periods and parts of Spring and Autumn, Winter can keep even the hardiest European nature lover indoors. To meet this need for an all year glamping experience, the glamping pod was invented.

OK so that is why the Europeans love the pod but why have them in Australia?

Parts of this great country can get cold in Winter, parts of Victoria, NSW and Tasmania can get extremely cold but Winter can be such a beautiful time of the year to explore our great brown land. Having said that the Pod is an all year round glamping experience. Sure they can keep you warm but add an air-conditioner and they keep you cool!

So how do you get into one of these Glamping Pods?

The glamping experience we are featuring here is part of the BIG4 Yarra Valley Park Lane Holiday Park.  Located in Healesville about an hour and 10 minutes North East of Melbourne. Which most Victorians will know is 10 minutes from some of the greatest Wineries in Australia. So foodies and wine aficionados this could be the getaway for you. The pods are secluded, luxurious, appointed with all the amenities and oh so romantic. Perfect for couples wanting to celebrate their second honeymoon. While there are other camping and glamping options available, we recommend the pod. You can hire a buggy if you are staying anywhere on the property but the pods all get their own private buggy to help you explore or just to help you have the ultimate lazy weekend away.

Some Pod Amenities:

  • Kind Size Bed (can be split into two singles on request)
  • Buggy
  • Bar fridge
